Below is a detailed timeline to exactly how we receive reservations, deposits and do the pick up / pick out process.

Please read through the entire adoption process to avoid any price misunderstandings.

ADOPTION PROCESS

Step 1: PUPPY APPLICATION

This is the most important step in letting us know you are interested. You will need to fill out an application found under the "puppy application" tab. After completing the puppy application, you should hear from us within 24 hours. If you do not hear from us in that time frame, feel free to reach out via email, phone, or Facebook messenger.

Step 2: DEPOSITS

After reviewing your application, we will be reaching out for your deposit to reserve your spot on our waiting list. The order we receive your deposit will be your pick out order. Please note all deposits are non-refundable. Litter timing and planned litters are subject to change. This does not qualify as a reason for a refunded deposit. The only circumstance for a refunded deposit is if RHR&K cannot provide you with your preferred color or gender at our next available litter.

Labrador: Deposits are $310 (non-refundable) (There is a $10 paypal fee)

Greater Swiss Mountain Dog: Deposits are $510 (non-refundable) (There is a $10 paypal fee)

Step 3: PICK OUT DAY

5 Weeks Old

From the moment you send your deposit we will keep you in the loop with what is going on here at Rolling Hills. Once the puppies are born, I will reach out to you letting you know your litter has arrived. By now, we will have received all deposits and started scheduling puppy pick outs. Initial pick out day is at the 5 week old mark. 5 weeks is when each puppies personality really starts to shine! Pick out order is in the order that we receive your deposit. Pick outs can be done in person or virtually. (If you would like to do it in person, schedule a time with us before arriving.)

From 5 weeks to 8 weeks the puppies will grow by leaps and bounds. You will receive weekly updated pictures and weights to assure your puppy is gaining weight and growing. We will arrange pick up dates with you around the 6 week time frame after they receive all required vaccinations. Around the 8 week mark you may adopt your puppy. Upon adoption the remaining amount is due.

Step 4: PICK UP DAY

Pickups will begin when the puppies reach 8 weeks old. At this age, they will be completely weaned from their mother, eating hard puppy food, crate trained, started the potty-training process, and had their first rounds of puppy shots. I will schedule with you a day to pick up around the 6- or 7-week mark. Everyone who picks their puppy up at RHR&K will have first scheduling priority. For anyone who lives outside a 4-hour radius of 327 Toms Run Rd. Gassaway WV, I can travel to meet you at a halfway destination. I will travel 100 miles, roughly 2 hours completely free. Anything beyond 100 miles is $1.00 per mile, round trip. For families I have to travel to meet, I will schedule a day with you after all the pickups from my location are completed. At this time, the remaining amount is due in cash, cashier's check or money order. No personal checks accepted. The balance due will differ depending on color & breed of puppy. We believe that being responsible breeders' mean just as much to the family post-adoption as it does pre-adoption. Owning a new puppy is a great experience but there can be many questions along the way. We are always here to answer questions and help you navigate diet solutions, training and anything else that may arise.

Labrador Retriever Puppy

$310 Non-Refundable Deposit sent prior to picking up your puppy.
For Silver, Charcoal, and Champagne puppies, $1,500 is due on adoption day (non-refundable.) The Total Silver, Charcoal, and Champagne Puppy Price Is $1,800 AKC Limited Registration
We will ONLY accept this payment in the form of cash, cashier's check, or money order. NO PERSONAL CHECKS
If interested in breeding rights, they may be purchased for an additional $1,000 (UPON OUR APPROVAL)

Greater Swiss Mountain Dog Puppy

$510 Non-Refundable deposit sent prior to picking up your puppy.
The remaining $2500 due at adoption day (non-refundable) We will ONLY accept this payment in the form of cash, cashiers check, or money order. NO PERSONAL CHECKS
Total: $3000 AKC Limited Registration
If interested in breeding rights, they may be purchased for an additional $1200 (UPON OUR APPROVAL)

RHR&K Puppy Academy Itinerary & Fee Schedule

We offer a 4 week puppy traing program. We will keep your puppy from 8 weeks of age to 12 weeks of age and introduce the basics. The itinerary is listed below.

Your puppy will learn on week 1:

Its name
How to walk on a leash
Will begin the crate training process
Will begin the potty training process (We do not gaurantee 100% potty trained at the time of going home at 12 weeks. Puppies' bladders are not fully developed until 4-6 months of age. Your puppy will be started. It will still take strict schedules and commitment at home to finish potty training.)

Your puppy will learn on week 2:

Continuation of week 1
Basic commands such as sit, stay, lay, shake, ect.

Your puppy will learn on week 3:

Continuation of week 1 & 2
Basic socialization with people, surfaces, noises, & surroundings.
Introduction to water
Introduction to fetch & retrieve
Introduction to other animals

Your puppy will learn on week 4:

Reinforcement of week 1-3

We will stay in contact throughout their training with updates on their progress. Puppies will graduate the puppy academy and be ready for pick up at 12 weeks. I will contact you in advance to schedule a day for pick up.

Boarding

Offered exclusively to families who have adopted from Rolling Hills. Vacation time and the holidays can be a hard time to find someone reputable to watch your pup. Don't trust your best friend to anyone. We will happily care for your dog as if it is our own. Our boarding practices are listed below.
